Use Curd for Healthy Hairs and Beautiful Skin
Curd is a good source of calcium, protein, and vitamins.over and above its various health benefits, curd can also be used in our beauty regime to benefit our skin and hair.
1. Yogurt As A Face Cleanser And Scrub
Mix 2 Tbsp of Yogurt with 1 Tbsp of Rice Flour or Oats. Apply this paste onto your skin, massaging it in a circular motion to gently scrub away the dead skin cells as well as any impurities. Leave it on for ten minutes and wash it off. This paste acts as both a cleanser and an exfoliate.
2. Curds As An Anti-Dandruff Treatment
Freshly grind six to seven black peppers and mix them with a cup of curd. Apply this onto your scalp and leave it on for half an hour. Wash it off with cold water for best results. Repeat this treatment twice a week to get rid of dandruff.
You can also mix a cup of curd with the juice of one lemon and massage it onto your scalp. The combination of the lemon and curd will effectively curb dandruff and on long-term use, prevent it from recurring.
3. Curds As A Treatment For Skin Infections
Soak some gauze in curd and apply it onto the affected area. Repeat the process six times a day to treat skin infections. You can add a pinch of turmeric to this too.
You can use the same process to treat dry skin as well. Just add some honey to the curd and soak the gauze in it and apply to the affected area.
4. Curd For Dry Hair
You can treat your dry hair and make it soft and shiny by using a curd hair mask. Prepare a hair mask by mixing curd and egg yolk. The nutrients present in the mask will condition your hair and make them soft. If you are wondering how to apply curd on hair, you can either use your hands or just use a brush.
5. Use Curd To Remove Dark Circles
A lot of people have dark circles and look for various home remedies to get rid of it. You can use curd to remove your dark circles. Just dip a cotton ball in some yogurt and gently dab it under your eyes. Rinse it after 10 minutes.
6. Use Curd For Hair Growth
Other than using curd for hair conditioning, when combined with amla, it can also be used as a remedy for hair growth. Make a paste by using curd and amla powder and apply it on the scalp and on the lengths of your hair. After 30-35 minutes, wash it off using a mild shampoo.
7. Curd To Treat Acne
It is the way to use the good bacteria in curd and the lactic acids in it to gently exfoliate and heal the skin.- Make a face pack with a tablespoon of besan (chickpea flour) and curd each.
- Form a paste and apply it on the skin.
- Wait for half an hour and then wash off.
- Use this pack thrice a week for oily skin, twice a week for normal to dry skin and once a week for dehydrated skin.
8. Curd As Anti Aging Remedy
As we age, the signs of ageing can be disappointing to tackle and deal with. Wrinkles, fine lines etc are signs that tell us that the skin is giving way to gracefully ageing. However, we can and have the power to slow it down if not stop it completely.
Ingredients:
- A tablespoon of curd
- Honey
- A teaspoon of vitamin C
- Green tea leaves.
Directions
- Mix them all into a paste and apply it on the face for half an hour.
- Do this thrice a week. Wash the face pack off with cold water and pat dry.
- Do not forget to moisturize the skin every night and day.
- Use an SPF too.
- This pack should be used as prescribed and a gentle massage upwards should be done when removing this pack with water, so as to boost blood circulation and to increase muscle stimulation too.
